Yerevan – is also a capital of culture and science

It is not only possible to meet the world economic crisis, but also to guarantee a serious progress overcoming the problems. Doctor of economic sciences, professor Grigor Vahanyan expressed this point of view during the press conference, hold together with doctor of medical sciences, professor Henry Bakunts. In the electoral roll of Orinats Erkir (Rule of Law) Party they go under the second and the third numbers in elections of the elders of Yerevan. G.Vahanyan says that the world economic crisis has given a serious dare to Armenia as well as many other countries. According to him, in these circumstances we must gather the available forces, find the possible ways of problem solution. “First of all I am a resident of Yerevan as well as a good specialist and I think that my knowledge and practical experience will be useful in the process of current problem solving”,- said G.Vahanyan. The economist mentioned that Yerevan should be not only a beautiful, clean city, but also a capital of culture and science.

H.Bakunts mentioned that there are no unsolvable problems; we should only have a good team of professionals as well as a well-defined strategy. He doesn’t admit the idea that doctors should not be involved in politics. “If you are a good specialist and can contribute to the development of the Republic then you should be involved in politics”, - he said. According to H.Bakunts, the rumors that after elections in 2008 many people were disappointed in Orinats Erkir Party are not true. “We have held a number of meetings with voters, and it’s noticeable that new people fill up our ranks. Orinats Erkir Party is a working party that brings up the problems of nation, and people realize it”, - he said. H.Bakunts finds the way of cooperation with the government normal. He mentioned that being in the political coalition the Party realizes its own programs. H.Bakunts considers that the cooperation with the Armenian National Congress is possible after the elections in council of the elders.
