The monastery and churches of Meghri
Sb. Astvatsatsin church
   The monastery and churches are famous monuments of Meghri. The monastery is to the north-east of the town. It was built in 17th c. The major building is Sb. Hovhannes church. The dome made of brick is leaned upon the square columns and from the center of the chapel it rises through the roof. The interior walls of the church have been ornamented. In the center of the town Sb. Astvatsatsin church is (the 17th c.).
Sb. Sargis church
   It is a four-column cupola church with narrow-sided ships. On both sides of canon-table there are rectangle sacristies. The dome of the church, as it is in Sb. Hovhannes church, is made of bricks with octahedron drum. The wall of the church altar-rail, columns and sacristies are decorated with frescos of the 19th c.
   The Sb. Sargis church of Meghri was built in the 17th c. The church has two pairs of columns. The rotunda that rises on the roof is made of brick, and the church is built of basalt. Inside the southern wall to the right and left sides of the entrance khachkars are placed. Sb. Astvatsatsin and Sb. Sargis churches are completely restored.
