Temperate warm climate

   Temperate warm climate is typical in the lowlands of Kapan, Meghry and Goris districts at 800-1300m above the sea level. Winters are temperate cold with steady snow cover. In January the medium air temperature is from –3C up to –5C, the minimum temperature is –30C. Springs are mild, long and damp, summers are temperate hot, comparatively damp. In July-August the medium air temperature is +22C, the maximum temperature is +37. Autumns are pleasant, sunny, mostly windless. The amount of medium annual rainfall is 600mm.

    The climate is favourable for resting and treatment. Farming in mainly rainfed. Grape, peach, apricot, potato, grain-crops are cultivated.
