Dry tropical climate Dry tropical climate is typical to Meghry district (Araks valley) at 800m above the sea level. Winters are short, mild, snow cover is observed not every year. In January the medium air temperature is from –1C up to +1C, the minimum temperature is –27C. Summers are long and dry, mostly hot. In July-August the medium air temperature is +24 - +26C, the maximum temperature is +41C. Autumns are mild, sunny, warm, mostly dry. The amount of annual atmospheric rainfall is 300-400mm. The climate conditions are favourable for cultivation
of heat-loving plants (grape, peach, apricot, fig, and pomegranate).
