Lily Kalashian was born in 1955 in Armenia. Since her youth she has demonstrated great interest in painting and arts.
She entered the Yerevan Institute of Arts and Theatre in 1974 and graduatedfrom the Institute in 1979.From 1979 to 1989 she worked in a constructive office as a senior artist.
Since 1980 she has participated in different exhibitionsin Armenia and in the neighboring republics.
She has pictures in private collections in the USA, England,Germany, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, etc. Now she works in the Yerevan State Institute of Fine Arts.Since 1999 she has been a member of Artists' union of Armenia.
