More than half - century history of Yerevan Academy of Fine Arts is one of the brightest pages of the history of Armenian culture.

Decorative Arts and Design are fundamentally connected with the existence of the Academy. In spite of all present difficulties, the Academy tries to keep its image high that achieved in many years, taking into consideration the breath of the time and fixing creative and scientific connections with higher educational Institutions in abroad like the one we have today.

Now, without any exaggeration we can mention that the Academy of Fine Arts is the main basis on which Armenian national painting is developed and will be still developed.
