1995. 75th Anniversary of the Armenian Red Cross Society.
The armenian Red Cross Society was founded in
1921. This volunteer organization has established branches in the cities and
major settlements of Armenia, established contacts with the armenian communities
abroad. It has founded tropical station, outpatient clinics, first aid centers,
traned doctors and sent them to outbreak areas. Established hospitals, maternity
wards, helped earthquake survivors.

The Cathedral of St.Basil the Blessed (originally it was called Pokrovski Cathedral) is one of the most significant monuments of Russian architecture. It is placed in Moscow, on Red Square and was built in 1550-60. In 1558 the small cathedral of St.Basil the Blessed and in 1670 the bell-tower were overbuilt to the main Cathedral. The north-western church of Cathedral is devoted to St.Gregory the Illuminator in honour of help of Armenians which was given during conquest of Kazan.

26 April 2002. TRADITIONAL PRODUCTION OF ARMENIA
The Copperworks
Even in VI-V centuries Armenia became the cradle of the copperworks and
its utilization. The copper things and the objects from its alloys have been
discovered in Ani, Dvin, Metsamor and in the other ancient areas. Today in Armenia
exsists the mountainous-metallurgical combinat of Alaverdi, which is the only
one that melts the copper in Transcaucausus.
The Beer Brewing
The beer brewing is known to Armenians for a long time. By the testimonies
of Greece historian Kseno-fon the beer brewing developed in Armenia from V-VI
centuries B.C. (Anabasis). Today Armenian beer is well known and it has won
the various prizes and medals, also the gold, in the numerous international
exhibitions.

21 Dec 2002. THE CENTENARY OF ALEXANDRAPOL-YEREVAN RAILWAY
The train on the background of the station of Yerevan Tbilisi-Alexandrapol railway (213,8) was the one of the first railway in Armenia. It started to exploit in 1899. Alexandrapol-Ulukhanlu (Masis)-Yerevan railway (163km) started to exploit on the 6th of December in 1902. The whole length of nowdays railway of the Republic of Armenia is 868km.

24 December 2002. COSMIC RESEARCHES
The research stations of Cosmic Ray Division of Yerevan Physics Institute are located at mt. Aragats (2000 and 3200m above sea level) in Armenia. In the world they represent those unique stations which investigate the galactic and solar cosmic rays, as well as perform studies of the solar activity and space weather forecasting.
The space observatories Orion 1 and Orion 2 were processed in the laboratory of space astronomy of Garni under the direction of G. A. Gurzadian. First time by Orion 2 were maid weak, till the 13th value of ultraviolet spectors of stars. They were located at the Salute and Soyus -13 spaceships.

24 NOV. 2003. 175th ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST ARMENIAN POSTAL DISPATCH
The first post office in Armenian region was the Erivan Postal Expedition, opened on March 1, 1828, which passed through Tiflis-Alahverdi-Gharakilisa-Alexandrapol-Erivan' stations. It involved only one dispatcher. The expedition used the sealing wax cancel without dates with two-head eagle in the middle and the text Ýðèâàíñêàÿ ïî÷òîâàÿ ýêñïåäèöèÿ.

26 NOV. 2003. 10th ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIAN CURRENCY
On the 19th of November of 1993 by the agreement N15 of the National Commission of the currency operation of RA was announced: "22nd, November, 1993 at 00.00 in the territory of RA the legal currency become the tickets of 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 500 and etc. of 1993 presented by the Central Bank of RA". Armenian currency was put in the circulation with the course 1 dram = 200 rubles and 1 dram = 100 lumas.

Human brain on the background of neurons Neurophysiology investigates the functions of neuro system. In Physiological Institute of AAS RA named by academic L.A.Orbeli studied the common and separate physiology and plastic qualities of neuro system. For the development of neurophysiology in Armenia were assisted works of Armenian physiologists L.Orbeli, E.Hasratian, A.Aleksanyan, V.Fanarjian and others.

10. 09. 2004. ARMENIAN CINEMATOGRAPHY. ARMENIAN ANIMATION
The first animated cartoon The dog and the cat was made in 1937, based on a poem by Hovhannes Toumanian (directed by L.Atamanov, animated by V.Suteev). It was the first creative success of Armenian cinematographers and became one of the best cartoons of the time. In the middle of 1960s Valentin Podpomogov tried to reveal Armenian animation. The 1970s were the burning years of the development of Armenian animation. The new expression was the creation of cartoon Foxbook (1975, directed by R.Sahakyanc, animated by O.Dilakian, music by D.Azarian).

21.02. 2005. INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST THE DESERTIFICATION
Desertification as a global ecological problem involves the unity of undesirable, desastered pro-cesses and its effects in the surrounding. By their special revelations concerning desertification process today is included about 80% of the territory of RA. Realizing the importance of the problem on the 14th of October Armenia signed the Against the desertification UN convention. In 2003 was adopted the national programme Activities against the desertification in Armenia .

22.02. 2005. SCIENCE AND TECHNIQUE OF ARMENIA (III issue). FINE ORGANIC CHEMISTRY
The main direction of experiments of Institute of Fine Organic Chemistry is the investigation of the chain regularities of organic substances structure, which has an aim to create new, more effective remedies. In the Institute named by Academic A.L.Mnjoyan were created and passed the clinical tests about 30 new pills, most of which are widely used in practical medicine.

21.04. 2005. 90th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
Western Armenian masscacre from 1914-18 by the Osman Empire during the I World War. Was soluted to solve Armenian question by innihilating all Armenians. Turkish government from 1915-16 had a goal to organize the extinction of great part of Western Armenia, their deportation and destruction. 1.5mln. Armenians were murdered.
The rest of them were emigrated to TransCaucasus, Russia, Near Eastern countries, Europe and America. Were destroyed thousand physical and cultural monuments, literature and monuscripts.
