Elma S Parsamian ( Parsamyan) was born in Yerevan , Rep. Armenia, graduated from faculty of Physics and Mathematics at Yerevan State University with speciality in Astronomy. After University permanently worked at V Ambartsumian' s Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory .She is pupil of V .Ambartsumian
She obtained Php -for investigations of Cometary Nebulae (1963), Doctor in Physics and Mathematics for investihations of Flare Stars in Stellar Associations and Clusters (1983), professor.
Author and co-author over 130 scientific articles on the physics of Gaseous Nebula and Flare stars, also on ancient astronomy in Armenia. Co-author of the book " Mezamor" , Yerevan, 1973.
Correspondent- member of National Academy of the Science of Armenia (2000).
Member of International Astronomical Union (IAU, 1976), European Astronomical Society (EAS,1990), also member of editorial board of journal " Astrof1Zika" (Astrophysics),
"Historic and Astronomical Investigations ", Moscow, Nauka, etc.
