OUR OBJECTIVES

ACRPC HISTORY IN BRIEF

Armenian Constitutional Right-Protective Centre (ACRPC) located in the Lori region is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO).

We are an organization dedicated to the development and consolidation of civilized democratic structure. We believe every citizen is entitled to be fully informed of his or her human rights. With this in mind, our priority is the dissemination of human rights education.

Since 1996, our organization presented seven Human Rights teaching courses in Vanadzor and graduated 184 Human Rights educators from all regions who are qualified to instruct any level of society. In addition, Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (IHL) conferences, seminars and meetings are regularly held in various regions.

In addition, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia mandated the subject Human Rights and Democracy is included as required curriculum in all higher schools beginning September 2001. We signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Center of Educational Reforms of the Ministry agreeing to train the educators necessary to fulfill the need within Armenia.
