WHAT IS EDIPA ?
Enterprise Development and Foreign Investment Promotion Armenian Agency has been established by the Resolution No. 19 of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Jan. 30, 1996.
The agency is a State nonprofit Organisation that has been set up for the development in private business of Armenia via promotion of foreign investment, support in enlargement of export market for local enterprises and assistance for development of Small and Medium Size Enterprises of Armenia.
EDIPA is the intermediary organisation between foreign investors and the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The Agency is coordinating all administrative and procedural activities related to establishment, licensing and implementation of foreign investment projects.
For the first stage of its operation the EDIPA is financed from the World Bank funds and managing the Enterprise Support Fund (ESF) originated from the same source.
The aim of the ESF is to increase competitiveness of Armenian exports and to assist actual and potential exporters to search, enter and maintain export market and assist enterprises to locate prospective joint-venture partners to help the enterprise to locate and pay for the intermediary, matchmaking or export support services by providing or reimbursing the enterprise, some significant portion of the fees and expenses through grants.

EDIPA is aimed to provide One-Stop-Shop services to present prospective exporters, foreign investors and small and medium size businesses in various aspects including and not limited with:

Participation in Specialised International Informational Networks allows to make the available information world-wide and thereby essentially improve the prospects for successful realisation of the cooperation, development and investment projects submitted.
Studies on investment and small and medium business development climate and provision of advisory services to the Government of the Republic of Armenia in developing foreign investment legal framework aimed to attract and promote foreign investments. The studies will cover various sectors of Armenian economy and will result in elaboration of proposals related to regulative and legislative basis of attracting foreign investments to the Republic of Armenia.
